What is a vinyl pool liner?

Multiple sheets of vinyl are seamed together to make a pool liner. The material is designed specifically to cover the pool floor and walls.

While pool liners are decorative of course, they also serve specific functions.

Liner Functions:

  • Prevents painful cuts and scrapes by providing a soft, silky-smooth texture
  • Retains water and prevents leakage
  • Aesthetically pleasing – they come in a variety of colors and patterns

What makes a good pool liner?

A pool liner is only as good as the material it is made from and the quality of the manufacturing. That is why at Fox Pools & Spas, we trust Tara Liners to provide the high-quality liners we demand for our clients.

Tara’s liner team of experienced craftsmen test each role of vinyl to be sure it meets rigorous standards. Once that quality is assured, they craft your pool liner to fit your precise specifications so that your pool is as unique as you are.

Designing Your Dream Pool

Your dream pool will be your personal oasis. It should reflect your family’s style. Selecting a vinyl liner is a big decision but don’t worry. We have a pattern collection that will let you create the unique look for your pool that you’ve been dreaming of.

Whether you’re selecting a pool liner for the first time or you’re re-designing with a replacement pool liner, you’re guaranteed to find just the right look and style.

One thing to keep in mind is that your pool liner choice is one of the factors that will determine your water color. The other factors are the sky, the trees, the depth of the pool and the amount of sun your pool will get. Don’t worry, our In-ground Liner Specialist, Becca, can help walk you through all of this. Two main factors influence your pool water color: the liner and the environment

When designing your pool, selecting your pool liner is an important decision. It is the single most visible element of the pool. A good place to start is with the water color you want.

Water Color

The floor of the pool is the most important factor in determining your water color. We’ve used three color categories to sort our pool liners – deep blue, light blue and aqua. Once you’ve determined the water color you want, you can then easily select your vinyl pool liner from that category.

Light Blue

Keep in mind that there are other factors which determine your water color. The amount of shade your pool will get, the time of day and even the depth of the water.

How long will a replacement
pool liner last?

Pool liners are durable and if you take care of your liner properly it will have an average lifespan of up to 10 years.

Three main things affect the lifespan of your liner:

  • Maintaining water chemistry
  • The quality of chemicals you use
  • The amount of direct sunlight exposure

The replacement pool liners we offer are engineered for superior performance and are backed with 20 year limited prorated warranty. See link for further details. Fox Pools offers a 1 year workmanship warranty on installed liners.

Thickness Options

A 27 mil vinyl pool liner is a perfect choice for those in climates with freeze and thaw cycles. If you want peace of mind, you want to select the best protection against the elements.

It is an extreme liner for extreme conditions. If your previous pool liner failed due to freezing temperatures or if you have a rough surface on the floor of your pool, this option may be necessary.

The 20 mil vinyl pool liner is precision crafted from the same premium vinyl in a lighter weight. Highly durable, it is the liner that is perfect for most pool environments. The Classic is also the best thickness for complicated pool shapes and features.

Vinyl Liner Pattern Selections

Our vinyl liners are available in numerous patterns. Choosing one you enjoy is important since the liner defines the look and feel of your in-ground pool. Contact Becca, our vinyl liner specialist for more information!

Pool Safety Covers

Protect your family and your investment!

At Fox Pools & Spas, we know you made a significant investment in your backyard pool. The best way to protect both your family and your investment is with a safety cover for your pool.

An in-ground pool cover is one of the strongest and most reliable ways to prevent children and pets from getting in your pool without supervision. On the other hand, a cover will also lower your pool maintenance costs throughout the winter. It’s a win-win!

Strong, Easy to Install & Durable

Made from a patented design, Tara in-ground pool covers are strong, easy to install and durable. As a result, the cover will not only protect your family but also your pool. It will keep debris out and block sunlight. Consequently, this allows you to save on pool chemical expenses and you’ll have cleaner water.

Two Types of Safety Covers

Mesh Pool Covers

A popular choice for pool owners, mesh safety covers are reliable, safe and highly durable. They are constructed with interlocked and double-overlapped seams to improve weight transfer from the cover materials to the seams and webbing.

A mesh cover is ideal to protect your pool in the winter months. It allows precipitation to pass through. Consequently, this eliminates the need for a submersible pump and allows water to drain into the pool.

In addition to the durability, a mesh cover is lighter and easier to manage than other covers.

Solid Pool Covers

For a simple and useful choice, many pool owners choose a solid cover. Solid covers are made of a solid sheet of vinyl typically.

This cover comes with a pump option, this prevents water from building up on top of the cover.

Solid Pool Covers

  • Offered in a variety of material weights ranging from Lite-Duty Solid to Heavy-Duty Solid
  • Available in a variety of colors
  • Can be custom-designed to fit any size or shape of pool
